MARILYN NEWSOME

My name is Marilyn Newsome. I am a math educator.I have been in education for over 20 years. I have a bachelor of Science degree in Middle Grades Education with an emphasis in math and science. I am currently working on my Master of Art degree in MathEducation for grades 4-8. I have also worked 3 years with a Science Decathlon team who were the Southeast Regional Champions the last two years. During this time, we were the only team in the state of Georgia. 6,7 and 8, Lindley 6th Grade Academy and at Imagine International Academy of mableton.

 60/40 Set is an exciting hands-on science enrichment program that introduces children to the wonders of science in a fun and highly imaginative environment. The program provides creative science enrichment activities for students in the Kindergarten through 8th grades. Students who participate in these hands-on projects experience authentic learning through Earth, Life, Computer, and, Physical Sciences.
 

NICOLE KEMPSON

Ms. Nicole Kempson is a native of Atlanta Ga. A graduate of Frederick Douglass High School and received her bachelor's degree in Middle School Science and Social Studies from Kennesaw State University. I have been working with Cobb Co. Schools for the last 5 years and have been teaching Earth Science at Lindley 6th grade Academy for the last two years.I have 2 children, a son in high school and a baby girl. I feel that all children are capable of learning. We just learn in different ways.

DEANCE D. BOSEMAN

Deance D. Boseman is originally from New Orleans, LA. 

Deance  holds two undergraduate degrees, through the Atlanta University Center Dual Degree Engineering program.  She received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Spelman College.  The second degree she holds is a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. Deance taught math for a number of years.  Currently Deance is working as an instructor and assistant program coordinator for Project Syncere.  Project Syncere is a nonprofit whose goal is to increase the number of minority, female and underserved students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) careers.

KASSIDY BYNOE

Kassidy has taught middle school science for 5 years. Her hands-on approach provides her students with a fun, meaningful and lasting perspective on the science world. Kassidy received her B.A. from the University of Virginia where she was also a student athlete. She has completed gifted certification, and IB certifications and is currently pursuing her Masters from Cambridge College.

WILFRED SMITH

A Graduate of D.M. Therrell High School in Atlanta Ga. Attended Clark Atlanta University on an Athletic scholarship where my major was Health and Physical Education. I Coached football at Cross Keys high school.My fascination to create made me interested in web designs. Understanding the Technology of designing and creating how to build a website is one of my favorite past time. The father of two girls, I believe that education and information is the key to open any doors imaginable.

APRIL D. TAYLOR

I have earned a B.A in Elementary Education, a M.A in Curriculum Instruction and a M.S in Inquiry Science 6-12.  I have been teaching for 16 years, between Pennsylvania and Georgia. My concentration has been teaching academics to grades 5-12; but my specialty area is all sciences and math.I have taught in the Cobb and DeKalb County districts, for the past 4 years and I love the opportunity to explore with the youth.  My focus is to explore through inquiry science to allow the student to have a better understanding of the world of science.  I would love to sit and talk with you more about my scientific background.
